Fuel Levy Update – Effective 01 April 2026

Friday 27 March, 4:00pm ACST

From 01 April 2026, Airnorth will introduce a fuel levy across all routes for new bookings.

This reflects a sustained increase in global aviation fuel prices, driven by ongoing market volatility and supply disruptions.

The fuel levy has been calculated based on sector length and operating conditions across our network, rather than applying a flat increase. This recognises the complexity of operating in regional and remote parts of Australia.

We understand that the cost of travel is an important consideration for the communities we serve, particularly across regional and remote areas. This change has been carefully considered to balance current cost pressures with the need to maintain essential air services.

Customers with existing confirmed bookings will not be impacted.

Introducing a fuel levy, rather than increasing base fares, allows Airnorth to respond transparently to current conditions and adjust or remove the levy as the market stabilises.

As an essential air service provider, we remain committed to maintaining our network. There are no changes to scheduled services at this time.

The fuel levy will be reviewed regularly in line with market conditions.
