Affordable year-round travel for Kimberley locals
Airnorth is proud to introduce the Kimberley Locals Fare, a community-focused airfare designed to support Kimberley residents with more affordable, reliable travel between Kununurra and Broome.
Developed in partnership with Broome International Airport and the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley, the Kimberley Locals Fare helps locals stay connected for essential travel, including health appointments, family visits, shopping and community life.
This year-round initiative reflects Airnorth’s long-standing commitment to the Kimberley and the communities we serve, supported by daily jet services between Broome and Kununurra.

Eligibility
The Kimberley Locals Fare is available to:
- Permanent residents of Kununurra or Broome who reside within the following postcodes: 6725, 6726, 6728, 6743,6740, 6770 and 6765
- Travel must originate in Kununurra for Kununurra residents and Broome for Broome residents
- Proof of residential address is required at registration and may be requested at booking or travel
Each registered resident is eligible to purchase up to six (6) return trips per 12-month period from date of registration.
How to Register
- Register for the Kimberley Locals Fare by emailing the following information to: localsfare@airnorth.com.au
- Your full name and up to five household residents that live within the same home
- Your date of birth along with all other registering residents
- Phone number
- Email address
- Unit/House number
- Street name
- Location
- Postcode
- When registering please provide proof of residential address to the email. This could be a driver’s license, rates notice, tenancy agreement
- Once approved, our Customer Contact Centre will email you a unique Locals Fare registration number
How to Book
- All Airnorth Locals Fare bookings must be made via the Airnorth Customer Contact Centre
- Bookings must be completed at least 30 days prior to travel
- Reservations and payment must be completed at the same time

- Travel must originate in Kununurra for Kununurra residents and Broome for Broome residents
- Subject to availability with a capped allocation per flight
- One change permitted outside 30 days prior to departure at no charge
- Changes within 30 days subject to Airnorth standard change fees
- Child discounts do not apply; infants without a seat travel free
