Airnorth History

From humble beginnings, Airnorth first flew onto the aviation scene chartering Cessna flights throughout the Northern Territory. Over time Airnorth grew to include regular passenger travel accommodating those wishing to travel for business or leisure into the more remote areas of northern Australia from Groote Eylandt and Gove to Kununurra and Broome and through the centre of Australia into Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.

Since our inception, Airnorth has come a long way and now operates some of the youngest modern jet fleet for a regional airline, offering premier air services to Australia’s most remote and unique destinations across Australia and transporting travellers into some of the world’s most challenging environments.

In more recent years we have extended our network to include operations into select destinations across Queensland, internationally into Dili, Timor-Leste and into Perth.

In addition to scheduled departures, Airnorth continues to operate contract and ad-hoc charter services for a wide variety of companies undertaking mining, defence and government activity.
