Airnorth supports DSO performances in Barkley region this April

Bringing Music Beyond the Major Centres 

Airnorth is proud to continue its partnership with the Darwin Symphony Orchestra, supporting the delivery of live music experiences to regional and remote communities across the Northern Territory. This April, Airnorth is assisting the DSO’s Tennant Creek tour of Choose Your Own Adventure, helping bring an interactive musical experience to young audiences in the Barkly. 

Designed for participation as much as performance, the production invites children to shape the story through movement, music and storytelling, while accompanying workshops give students opportunities to explore rhythm, creativity and expression in a fun and inclusive way. For many, it may be their first experience of live orchestral music. 

Airnorth’s support helps overcome one of the Territory’s greatest barriers — distance. By providing air access for musicians and creative teams, the partnership makes it possible to bring high-quality arts programming beyond major centres and into communities that may otherwise miss these opportunities. 

Paul Christ, General Manager of the Darwin Symphony Orchestra, said partnerships like Airnorth’s are critical to delivering equitable access to the arts across the Territory.
