AIRNORTH TO FLY DAILY TO DILI, TIMOR-LESTE

From Tuesday August 6, 2019 Airnorth will offer daily scheduled flights from Darwin to Dili, Timor-Leste. 

 With the introduction of the Tuesday services to Dili from Darwin International Airport, Airnorth will now operate ten weekly departures during the busy dry season. To celebrate, Airnorth have launched an airfare sale starting today with prices starting from $398AUD* return ex Darwin and $345USD* return ex Dili including 20kg checked luggage and refreshments.

Airnorth CEO, Daniel Bowden says he is delighted with the announcement of the new Tuesday service. 

“The announcement of daily services to Dili comes at an important time for Timorese and Australians in the lead up to the upcoming 20th anniversary of the arrival of the Australian-led peacekeeping force INTERFET,” said Mr Bowden, adding that “we are pleased by the growth in traffic across on the Dili route from both business and leisure travellers so far this year.”

Airnorth have added over 250 additional services to their dry season jet flying program including the renewal of the popular Perth to Kimberley service and the launch of their twice weekly Townsville to Gold Coast route in April 2019.

The announcement of these additional services is in response to demand in both business and leisure travel for the 2019 dry season. The added services have allowed greater opportunity for connectivity to both the Top End of Australia and Internationally when most businesses are in their peak operational months. Additionally, leisure travellers can take advantage of the spectacular dry season weather and explore the many gems of these majestic regions.

2019 additional services include:

  • New twice weekly service departures from Gold Coast to Townsville then onto Darwin each Sunday and Wednesday, April 3 to October 20, 2019
  • Up to five weekday services a week to our Centre Run with flights connecting Darwin, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs commencing on Thursday 2 May to 31 October 2019.
  • Twice weekly seasonal service from Perth to Kununurra and then onto Darwin, Saturday May 4 to October 26, 2019 and Wednesday June 5 to August 29, 2019
  • Two additional twice weekly services from Darwin to Gove and then onto Cairns every Thursday
