 Airnorth is proud to be the naming sponsor of the 2021 NRSFC Ladies Fishing Classic competition to be held from 13 – 14 March 2021. This will be the 13th consecutive year that Airnorth has sponsored this event attracting more than 150 women to the waters of Nhulunbuy for an all-out fun-filled competitive weekend of fishing. 

“We are excited to see our corporate sponsorship program flourishing in 2021 after experiencing such a downturn of events in 2020,” said Teyghan Stadelbauer, Airnorth Marketing and Communications Manager. “We are committed to being an active part of the communities our customers and employees live and work, and our sponsorship program provides us an opportunity to do so by partnering with events and charitable fundraisers through cash and in-kind sponsorships.” 

This year will mark the 17th year of the NRSFC Ladies Fishing Classic and participants can expect another great weekend out on the water with several Airnorth flights up for grabs to Darwin and Cairns for the winning Championship team. 

“Nhulunbuy is the best place in the world to fish,” said Chris Arnold President of the Nhulunbuy Regional Sportsfishing Club. “We hold three major events and Junior events during the year and we could not do this without the support of Airnorth.” 

Over the years Airnorth have proudly supported the Gove region as a major contributor, in particular Nhulunbuy tourism and community events through sponsorships such as GARMA, Nhulunbuy High School – Robocup, Australia Day Bushfire Appeal, and of course the Ladies Fishing Classic, investing in excess of $1.3 Million to the region over the last decade through cash and in-kind donations.
