This milestone cements the airline’s position as commitment over the past forty years. Most the second-longest running airline in Australia.

Established on the 4th of July in 1978 in Darwin, Airnorth began operating charter flights throughout the Northern Territory.

By the late 1980’s, Airnorth had established itself as the premier regional carrier throughout the Top End of Australia.

Today, Airnorth now operates 220 scheduled departures weekly to over 20 destinations.

Airnorth provides safe, reliable and comfortable air travel for customers across our network.

From as far north as Timor-Leste to connecting the dots across Australia, our unwavering passion and dedication ensure our customers reach
their destination.

Reflecting on Airnorth’s 40th birthday milestone, Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Bowden stated that, “None of this would have been possible without the contribution of those who have importantly, we’d like to extend our thanks to all our customers and suppliers, who continue to support us. Whether you’re a new customer or a loyal routine traveller, your patronage has enabled us to reach this momentous occasion” he said.

As Airnorth celebrates their successful past, the airline continues to build towards a bright and evolving future.

The excitement continues throughout the year, with the highly anticipated release of the new- look uniform, the fresh introduction of our new in-flight magazine; Together we Fly, and other exciting projects.
