Q: How long will the trial run for?
A: The trial will operate from; 05 December 2020 – 31 December 2021, with the travel to be completed by 31 December 2021.

Q: Is the program only available to Gove locals?
A: The Locals Fare is available to verified residents that live within 50km of the Gove Airport; Gove, Yirrkala and Ski Beach (Gunyangara).

Q. Where can I fly to?
A. The Locals Fare is only available for return travel from Gove to Darwin.

Q: How do I register?
A: Click “Locals Fare” and fill in the registration form can be found within the BOOK section of our website.

Q: How do you verify my details?
A: Airnorth may ask for proof of residency in the form of a Drivers License, Proof of Age card and/or other applicable photo ID.

Q: Where can I purchase airfares?
A. By contacting our friendly Reservations team on 1800 627 474.

Q: What are the travel periods?
A: 05 January 2020 to 31 December 2021.

Q: Are there any blackout periods?
A: The Locals Fare is available for travel anytime during the year, subject to availability.

Q: Can I purchase anytime?
A: Purchase of your return flights must be made at least 30 days prior to your departure date.

Q: Can i purchase a one way airfare now and my return date later?
A: The Locals Fare can only be purchased from Reservations with a confirmed departure and return date.

Q: How many airfares can I purchase over the trial period?
A: Each verified Gove Local will be eligible to apply for up to six (6) return Gove to Darwin airfares.

Q: Is my seat confirmed?
A: Yes.

Q: Do I still receive other benefits such as the 20 kilos checked luggage and complimentary refreshments.
A: Yes.

Q:  Can I change my flight when booking the Locals Fare?
A: Cancellations and change of bookings may incur charges.

Q:  What aircraft services the Locals Fare?
A. The Locals Fare only applies to Airnorth jet services between Gove and Darwin.

Q: Is the Locals Fare available for my whole family?
A: All registered and verified family members that reside at the same address will have access to the Locals Fare program.

Q: Will Airnorth roll out this program to other communities?
A: We will assess the performance of the trial program in 2021 and announce further details thereafter.

Q: What if I move from Gove, can I still use my Locals Fare?
A: The Locals Fare is designed to help make air travel more affordable for the locals of Gove. If you have moved permanently from the area, you will be no longer be eligible to redeem.
