Travelling with infants

Infants under two years of age who do not occupy a seat are carried free of charge on domestic sectors with charges applicable for International travel.

Each infant must be accompanied by a separate adult. All children two years of age and over must occupy a separate seat. Children under two can travel on their parents’ tickets provided they do not occupy a seat.

A parent nursing an infant is provided with a special seat belt on all our aircraft. The infant seatbelt must be fastened as directed by the flight crew. On all Airnorth flights, families are seated together whenever possible.

Children occupying their own seat are entitled to the same baggage allowance as adults.

Children under two years of age who do not occupy their own seat are not entitled to a free baggage allowance.

Adults accompanying infants (infant not occupying their own seat) are entitled to check-in one collapsible stroller or a carry basket (to be stowed in the aircraft hold) and 10kg check-in baggage, this is in addition to the adults normal baggage allowance. Adults may also carry-on infant food and nappies for use in flight however this is included in the adults normal carry-on baggage allowance.
