Broome
Broome is one of Western Australia’s most popular holiday destinations, often referred to as the pearl of the North West.
Broome is home to the world-famous white sands of Cable Beach. It is also the southern gateway to the wilderness region of the Kimberley.
Cable Beach
With 22 kilometres of pristine white sand, Cable Beach is ranked among the world’s top beaches and boasts many world class holiday resorts.
Cable Beach takes its name from the telegraph cable that was laid between Broome and Java in Indonesia in 1889. Cable Beach is now a popular holiday resort for swimming, relaxing in the sun, strolling at sunset, camel treks and pearl lugger sailing tours.
